Purpose

 

Through a volunteer, non-partisan, grassroots movement, the citizens of our state will demonstrate to the Trenton establishment that a united New Jersey stands for more votes then all special interest groups combined. Voters are in fact the largest interest group. Voters have had enough of business as usual in Trenton and are determined to insure that elected officials put voter interests first.

 

Goals

 
  • Enact real property tax reform, free of gimmicks and smoke and mirrors.
  • Amend the state constitution to require a two-thirds majority vote on any tax increase and referendum approval all bond issues.
  • Enact meaningful ethics reform to truly abolish all forms of pay to play:

Pay to play is the practice of rewarding political contributors with government jobs and contracts, often bypassing competitive bidding.

 

  • Enact legislation that would revoke public pension benefits from any official found guilty of misconduct or violating the public trust.
  • Give the people of New Jersey "Initiative and Referendum" powers.

Initiative and referendum is the process by which laws are passed or repealed through petition and binding public referendum. 

These are aggressive goals but they can be achieved if we show all politicians that their job depends on our well-being. If they’re not part of the solution, then they’re part of the problem. If they don’t work for us, they work against us and they can expect to be fired!

The elected officials we have in office today are some of the same people that were in office when these problems were created!  It's time to clean house and send new representatives to Trenton!  We need representatives who will remember who they work for.....YOU, US, the CITIZENS OF NEW JERSEY!
